I love an easy dinner idea that comes together in minutes. This Mongolian ground beef recipe is easy, flavorful, and so delicious.
Do you love the super umami flavors of soy and teriyaki? I do! I love anything with ginger and garlic too. And this dish is simple to make with the lowly ground beef which is the most affordable and easy-to-access meat. I love using free-range meat in my cooking because I know what I’m giving my family. So find you a good farmer that you can trust!
Since this Mongolian ground beef recipe only takes a few minutes to make, dinner will be on the table quickly! I love stirring it up while something is roasting in the oven. Or even better, have a side salad made ahead of time and just grab that out. You can pair it with some steamed rice, a simple salad, some steamed veggies, or roasted veggies and you’ll have a great meal for your family. Here are some of our favorite sides:
- Roasted broccoli (the kids favorite)
- Cucumber and tomato salad
- Honey roasted root vegetables
- Avocado salad
Can you tell that marinated salads are my favorite? I just love them!

Mongolian beef tips
- This recipe calls for ground beef but if you want to go another route you can use the traditional flank steak cut against the grain.
- If you want to make it ahead of time, go for it. The flavors are a bit tighter when it’s made fresh, but I’m all about leftovers, so do you.
- If you want more sauce, you can double the sauce ingredients. We like it like this, but again, do what you like!
