About Little Sprouts

Hi, my name is Christina! I’m a family childcare provider with over 25 years of experience running a successful business at Little Sprouts teaching kids to grow their own food, eat healthy, cook, learn and grow together.

Little Sprouts Learning, Live Healthy, Teach Healthy

I’m a mom to a fabulous grown-up daughter and wife to an amazing man. I want to help YOU live a healthier happier life and teach good habits to the kids in your life. I have tips, information, and ideas that will help you get there.

Why do I do this? I do it because I want people to build the life of their dreams by living well so they can perform at their best. I want to do this by giving you knowledge. This is something I am very passionate about and am also working towards myself. You can use this knowledge to give the kids in your life THE BEST healthy environments you possibly can.

Ideas for developmentally appropriate practice, nutrition, physical activity, and development, taking care of yourself so you can take better care of your kids, and so much more is available on the blog.

Eco Healthy Childcare

Why blog about healthy childcare? Does it even matter? Awesome childcare definitely matters to me and it matters to our future. That’s why I do what I do at Little Sprouts.

A few years ago, I was tired, sick, and miserable and I needed a change. I had developed a ton of food allergies and didn’t know what to do. So, I started doing research and found out what was making me feel like crap all the time. Through that research, I realized kids need much more to develop well than I ever realized. I want to share what I’ve learned.

I also realized that ALL childcare providers and parents could thrive in raising children if they only knew how to live healthier. I started encouraging other providers and parents to make small changes so they could feel better. People asked me the same things over and over again, so I realized if I had a resource for them, I could help more people.

Healthy lifestyle habits, a good attitude and taking care of yourself is so important! Our adventures have been featured on the Oklahoma Gardening tv show, on multiple garden tours in our community, in magazines and publications, and in several articles online including this one on Little Family Adventures

I wrote a book, which I’m still working on getting published, to help providers learn how to garden with their kids so they could be feeding their kids and themselves the highest quality food. During my time trying to get a publisher, I was asked to start a blog to share day to day information on living and teaching healthy.

That’s how Little Sprouts Learning was born! I hope we can inspire you with over 25 years of experience in the family childcare business and about 20 of that being focused on healthy living and healthy childcare! Come along and learn with us!
