Easter is my favorite holiday and I love celebrating it with my daycare kids. But I don’t love giving them junk food. This Easter Chick Toast is adorable AND I don’t have to feel guilty about feeding it to my kids. It’s a great way to celebrate holidays and special days in daycare.

Healthy Easter Party Food Ideas

When we do a family Easter gathering, we do it pot luck style. I usually do a main dish like a big ham or some meats, cheeses, and breads, or maybe a big pot of chili or taco soup. Then everyone brings side dishes to go with it. That makes it a little easier on everyone.

During the pandemic, when we couldn’t get together, I sent the Easter party home with each family and I did sack lunch for everyone. Then the next year I just did juice boxes and snack cakes and fruit. I was unable to really make any kind of meal at the time, but I did want to do something for my families.

Kids Easter Party

We do a big family Easter party at Little Sprouts every year. We love parent and family involvement and this is a way to bring everyone together to spend time getting to know each other. Families that are invested in daycare are better for children’s success at daycare.

We have a giant Easter egg hunt, we share food, and we play games. But the best part is seeing families interact with each other. I feel like this cuts down on parents being unhappy with different situations in daycare. Relationships and communication is key.

If you don’t want to cut out toast circles, you could easily use an English muffin, tortilla, or even a bagel. Do whatever works for you. Make things as easy as possible and don’t reinvent the wheel!
