We make our own pizza sauce from homemade roasted tomato sauce. You can also buy store bought in a jar or can. If you don’t have any pizza sauce, use tomato sauce and add a clove of crushed garlic and a teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Stir it up and there you have it.
Pizza recipe for kids
Air Fryer Pita Pizzas
- 4 pita breads
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese about ½ cup per pita pizza
- Sliced pepperoni
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Cover your air fryer baking sheet with foil for easy clean up if you’d like.
- Place pitas on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread pizza sauce over the pitas.
- Sprinkle with cheese and top with pepperoni, if desired.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and pitas are warm.
