Garlic bread is a wonderful comfort food most of us love, but that flavor of garlic bread seasoning mix goes on so many delicious dishes.

For my sister’s birthday, she wanted to make some spice mixes to use throughout the year. She loves my taco seasoning. And she loves my ranch seasoning mix too. So we made those and more:

Garlic Bread Sprinkle

We all gathered together the herbs that we had dried from our gardens and what we had in our spice cabinets and made a list of what else we needed to buy. Everyone bought spices instead of bringing other gifts for her. (As per her request) You can even grow your own spices to make mixes.

We ended up with a lot of parsley left and came up with an impromptu recipe for garlic bread seasoning mix. The funny thing about it is, it makes the MOST wonderful garlic bread seasoning, but it’s so versatile and tastes amazing on a ton of different things. We are in love.

Garlic Bread Seasoning

So far we’ve used it to season garlic bread, crostini, homemade sourdough crackers, bagel schmear, bread dipping sauce, compound butter, roasted vegetables, scrambled eggs, garlic herb compound butter, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, pasta sauce, and made an awesome cheeseball with it for the holidays. It’s so good! It’s a game-changer in the kitchen. Oh, and this out of this world sausage spinach tortellini soup! Oh my!

These air fryer smashed potatoes are going to be a regular around your house like they are ours. They are amazing!

Bread seasoning

Another great way to use it on your French bread loaves is to make a garlic dipping oil. You just take some olive oil and pour it on a plate. Then add the garlic bread sprinkle over top. Then take your French loaves and tear a bite-sized piece off the end and dip it in the plate.

I have had bread dipping oil several places, but the flavor of it made with this garlic bread sprinkle is out of this world compared to that. It’s amazing. So watch the blog for more creative ways to use the garlic bread sprinkle recipe we created.

Garlic and herb seasoning

There is no better combination than garlic and Italian herbs. And there is nothing like this combination. I’m in love for life. So far, the cheeseball is my favorite thing I’ve made with it. But the kid’s favorite thing I’ve made with it is pasta. And more recently, this amazing Chicken Pot Pie Stew has run up to the top as a favorite!

If you want to make a large amount for gift giving or multiple families to use for months like we did, this batch makes about 4 quart sized jars. Or you can look below for about enough to fill a pint jar.
