What’s a Sensory Bag?

A sensory bag is a sealed bag filled with materials that provide a tactile and visual sensory experience. These bags allow children to squish, press, and manipulate the contents without creating a mess. Sensory bags are an excellent tool for toddlers and preschoolers to explore different textures and objects safely.

  • Fine Motor Skills: Manipulating the toys within the bag improves hand-eye coordination and strengthens fine motor skills.
  • Cognitive Development: Identifying different vehicles and talking about transportation expands vocabulary and understanding of the world.
