These super easy Jalapeno Cheddar Biscuits are a new take on an old favorite and they are going to be your favorite. Such a great comfort food recipe bursting with new flavors! And we all know biscuits are the best!

Old fashioned biscuits
My grandma’s biscuits were the things dreams were made of. And I have been obsessed with recreating them for decades. I wish I would have gotten the recipe before she passed away. But I still try to make her proud in everything I cook.
These jalapeno cheddar biscuits are super easy to make and they have a burst of cheesy flavor (think red lobster cheddar bay) with a sneaky burn of heat at the end. Jalapenos are so delicious and one of the most flavorful peppers in my opinion without being way too hot.
How long does it take to make jalapeno cheddar biscuits
The recipe for jalapeno cheddar biscuits may take around 20 minutes of prep time and 15 to 20 minutes of baking time. Jalapeno cheddar biscuits can be easy to make, especially if you have experience with baking. The recipe involves basic baking ingredients as well.
The secret to really good biscuits is not to overwork the dough. Barely mix it together, by hand. Pat the dough out with your fingers. Start with cold ingredients and work fast so the ingredients stay cold. And cut them just once, push the leftover pieces together, and cut them again. Don’t reuse the remaining dough, it will be tough.
Another great trick is to use a super sharp knife to cut them into squares so you don’t have excess pieces. Just remember the less handling, the better. If you do use a cutter, make sure it’s thin, don’t use a drinking glass because the edges are thick and press down the layers preventing the biscuits from rising as much.
