How to Make Spicy Chimichurri Sauce
You can make chimichurri by chopping the herbs with a knife and mixing everything togther, but you can use a food processor to cut down the preparation time drastically. It has such a bright flavor, it’s so good!

- It can be used immediately
- It can be made ahead and refrigerated, but let it come to room temp before serving
- It will last in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks
- It can be frozen for up to 1 month. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight and then to come to room temp before serving

Cilantro Chimichurri Recipe
Garlic Chimichurri Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups fresh Cilantro
- 1/4 cup fresh oregano
- 1 small red onion
- 5 garlic cloves
- 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp pepper
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- 2 Jalapeño Pepper
Instructions
- Add Cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapeños, oregano, red pepper flakes, vinegar, salt and pepper to a food processor. Pulse, stopping and scraping down sides occasionally until finely minced.
- Pour in olive oil and add lemon juice while pulsing several times until herb leaves are finely minced
