You can make chimichurri by chopping the herbs with a knife and mixing everything togther, but you can use a food processor to cut down the preparation time drastically. It has such a bright flavor, it’s so good!

  • It can be used immediately
  • It can be made ahead and refrigerated, but let it come to room temp before serving
  • It will last in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks
  • It can be frozen for up to 1 month. Allow to thaw in the refrigerator overnight and then to come to room temp before serving

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh Cilantro
  • 1/4 cup fresh oregano
  • 1 small red onion
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 Jalapeño Pepper

Instructions

  • Add Cilantro, onion, garlic, jalapeños, oregano, red pepper flakes, vinegar, salt and pepper to a food processor. Pulse, stopping and scraping down sides occasionally until finely minced.
  • Pour in olive oil and add lemon juice while pulsing several times until herb leaves are finely minced
