Tips for Making a Beautiful Heart Stamp Bouquet
- Try Different Colors: Let children choose their favorite colors for their heart stamps. You could use metallic paint, pastel colors, or even neon for a unique bouquet.
- Reinforce the Shape: Make sure to pinch the toilet paper roll firmly so that the heart shape holds its form. This will ensure more consistent heart shapes when stamping.
- Add Glitter or Stickers: For extra sparkle, sprinkle glitter on the hearts while the paint is still wet, or add small Valentine’s Day stickers to the bouquet.
- Use Double-Sided Tape: If the cardstock doesn’t stick well with glue, use double-sided tape for the folds to hold them in place.
Creative Extensions for Heart Stamp Bouquets
- Personalized Cards: Turn the bouquet into a Valentine’s Day card by writing a message on the inside of the cardstock before folding it into a bouquet.
- Framed Art: Mount the finished bouquet onto a piece of larger cardstock or poster board, then frame it for a Valentine’s Day decoration.
- Heart Flowers: Instead of a bouquet, try creating heart “flowers” by stamping hearts on individual stems with leaves to make a unique floral arrangement.

Ingredients
- Cardstock – colors of choice
- Acrylic paints – red, purple, etc.
- Cardboard toilet paper ubes
- Green marker
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Instructions
- Begin by choosing a color of cardstock. Then, make the sheet of cardstock into a square. To do this, fold one corner over to the opposite edge, forming a triangle.
- Trim away the bottom excess.
- Now, pour a generous amount of your Valentine’s Day themed paint colors on a flat surface like a paper plate and gather toilet paper cardboard rolls. You will need one roll for every paint color stamped.
- Form the cardboard roll into a heart shape by folding in the top of the roll and pinching the bottom.
- Dip the heart shape into one of the paint colors.
- Position the cardstock square so it’s like a diamond and begin stamping in the top corner of the cardstock.
- Use different colored stamps to make more hearts.
- Next, use a green marker to draw simple stems and leaves. Most of these will be covered up, anyway.
- Which brings us to our next step. Fold over one side corner of the diamond shape.
- Fold the opposite corner, as well, to meet the first corner.
- Then, fold the tops down and glue in place.
- We then finished our bouquets by adding simple cardstock bows. Simply cut one long strip and 3 smaller strips. Bring the two ends of the long strip together and glue in place. Use one of the smaller strips to wrap around the middle, forming a bow.
- Add the two tails and to the bow and glue to the front of the heart stamp bouquets to complete this lovely and fun Valentine’s Day art craft!
