- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup of unsalted butter room temp
- 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla powder
- 5 eggs room temp
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray loaf pan with non stick baking spray
In a bowl of a stand mixer add sugar, butter, vanilla powder, and vanilla extract.
Mix on medium speed until combined.
Add eggs, 1 at a time and mix until combined.
Add sour cream to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
In a medium sized bowl add flour, baking soda and salt.
Whisk to combine.
Pour flour mixture into the butter mixture and mix on low speed until combined.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
Lightly tap the pan on the counter to allow the batter to evenly spread and settle into the pan.
Place the pan on a baking sheet and place on the center oven rack.
Bake for 1 hour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on top
