Sausage Balls Without Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 3 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 c butter cut into cubes
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 pound grated cheddar

Instructions

  1. In large bowl of stand mixer, add flours, baking powder and soda, cream of tartar, salt and pepper. 

  2. Mix well.

  3. Add butter.

  4. Mix in stand mixer until butter is pea sized.

  5. Add sausage and cheese. 

  6. Mix with mixer until combined.

  7. Form into 1 inch balls. 

  8. Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 20 minutes
