What does acorn squash taste like

Acorn squash has a mild, sweet, and nutty flavor with a slightly earthy undertone. The taste is often described as a cross between butternut squash and sweet potato. When cooked, the flesh becomes tender and slightly creamy, making it a versatile ingredient for both sweet and savory dishes.

Acorn squash’s natural flavor can be enhanced with seasonings like cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, butter, or herbs for a savory twist. It’s a popular choice for stuffing and can be used in soups, casseroles, and side dishes. Its unique taste and texture make it a favorite among those who appreciate the flavors of fall and winter vegetables.
