There’s nothing better than a full meal you can make in one dish. One pot wonders are the perfect thing after a long tiring day and leave you with only one cooking dish to wash. My favorite way to make an easy dinner idea!
Easy one pot dinners
I HATE washing dishes and I love the idea of dumping a bunch of stuff in a crock pot, instant pot, or casserole dish and cooking it. After dinner, that’s the only thing I have to clean besides the dishes we used to eat. On a busy weeknight, that’s a wonderful thing.
There are so many things you can make on a sheet pan, in a dutch oven, or in a skillet or other cooking vessel that taste amazing and satisfy the family. Many of them can even be prepped the night before or in the morning before work for less time waiting for dinner. When you have your meal prepped ahead, the temptation to hit the drive-through is far less.
This chicken and rice is economical, easy, and bakes in the oven while you do other things.
Skillet Meals
Throwing everything into one skillet is a great way to make a quick weeknight meal but not be up all night cleaning up the mess. Check out some of these great skillet meals.

One of my kid’s all-time favorite meals (I even have teens and grown adults ask me for it when I see them out) is taco soup. It’s all made in the crock pot and it’s amazing.
Roasting a pork roast is a great way to make a ton of meals. The crock pot is a great tool. You can roast a whole chicken in it as well. I love a one pot meal that has leftovers too! Woo hoo!
