This Halloween veggie skeleton couldn’t be easier to make. It’s super healthy. And it’s fun! Just wash up all the veggies and get to slicing! Then arrange them on your tray in this adorable pattern, and get ready to wow your guests. People go crazy over this every time I make it!
And it’s a great way to get kids to eat more vegetables. Everyone wants to partake in the centerpiece of fun! If you don’t think that will work, I dare you to try it!
Skeleton charcuterie
I love the idea of making something super fun for a special day or holiday celebration in daycare, but I don’t always love the ideas that are out there. I don’t mind making spooky meatball eyeballs for lunch but I don’t want to serve my kids 100,000 kinds of chemicals and artificial colors from a cupcake with 4 inches of icing filled with poison.
Food additives really do affect the behavior of kids. I promise I’m an expert on this! Take my word for it, it matters!
So I set out to find some fun things that aren’t jam-packed full of artificial ingredients and tons of added sugar too. This skeleton charcuterie veggie tray idea is perfect. It’s cute, it’s fun, and it’s Halloween-themed. It’s going to be the talk of your party!
Obviously, you can substitute any veggies that you don’t like for something you do like. Just be creative. Some great veggie tray ideas are:
Pickles, green onions, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, and more. And even think about fruit. You could do melon slices, or berries, apple slices, orange segments and more. Just use your imagination and you’ll be amazed at how much fun you can come up with!
And check out THE WORLD’s BEST ranch dip recipe here! I promise you’ll never touch store bought dip again after you taste this one.
